    I am contemplating registering for an upcoming Titleist Thursday event. I am in search of some new irons and am hoping to get fit at this event... How much one on one time is there and are there any suggestions anyone can offer that has been at one of these events?

    Thanks

    Hey Tom, i believe it's usually between 30-45 minutes of one on one time. Go in with an open mind and bring your old clubs.

    It's all one on one time from my experience. Open mind, don't over swing or try to impress and ask questions as you should know what feels good and doesn't on solid hits.

    I just did a Titleist Thursday for the 917 driver. It lasts about 45min, be there about 15 min prior or so to warm up. They will get some baseline numbers with your existing clubs, then try different combinations to optimize conditions. It was just me and the fitter. Its a great experience.

    Tom - My experience is each appointment lasts 45 minutes. The fitter may answer someone's question. However, you are the only one the fitter works with during the time.
    Christopher, above, is right on; bring your clubs and be open-minded. Let the fitter do his/her job! Staff at my course recommend golfers arrive at least 15 minutes ahead to warm up.

    Bring your current clubs, get there early and warm up. The fitter I worked with spent an hour with me on Trackman. I hit my current clubs to establish baseline numbers followed by the new product with a couple of shaft combinations.
    He was extremely knowledgeable and able to narrow it down to a couple club heads and shafts just by looking at my ballflight. From there it came dwn to fine tuning the sections based upon spin and flight characteristics.

    It is a fun process and instills confidence in knowing that you have the best equipment in the game and it fits. Awesome for Titleist to provide this service.

    I just want to publicly thank John Dal Santo who conducts the Titleist Thursday sessions at Cog Hill. He does an extremely thorough job, explains the trackman numbers and patiently works through various head/ shaft combinations to optimize performance.
    Folks, you need to take advantage of this event in your area. Well worth it.

    Tom - you cannot beat the price (it's free!). Just think:
    - 45-minute fitting;
    - Trackman;
    - the full Titleist club range;
    - most shaft options.
    How much would that normally cost?

    I'll agree with all the comments above and add mine was actually over 45 min - it is truly a "tour level" experience! A 1-on-1 fitting with a product expert using Trackman and a full complement of shafts and heads is just phenomenal!
    I did mine earlier in the summer and the 917 wasn't out yet so I'm planning on going back for seconds!

    I went to Titleist Thursdays today @TPC LasVegas , didn't realize i needed an appointment but Titleist rep..Brian Butler was able to fit me in..so i hit the 917 f2 3wd. 13.5° and 816 19° hybrid (i don't carry a driver).. I'm a 9 handicap without a driver. I hit my current 3wd 265 avg distance ..so 15 minutes with the F2 trackman had my avg carry 253yds with a overall distance avg of 288yds..23 yards. wow!! Thats the difference between 8 iron approach shot vs PW so I ordered it on the spot..... ..tell Dave N that it's free..unless you can't resist taking the plunge....hit'em straight...madgolfer
