  1. Hi guys am just wondering if anyone has had a similar problem with 917 Fitting I spent 2 hours getting fit for the 917 range at silvermere and found out that they don't stock more than a few options on the custom shafts. What is the point of getting fit if the choices are not made available to the general public

That's one of the reasons I went to the Titleist fitting centre at St Ives. Certainly no problem there and my spec was emailed directly to my supplier as soon as the fitting finished.
  3. You can request specific shafts in advance and titleist will ship them to your fitter then return them after. The fitters cannot stock all the options obviously.

That seems a bit odd that you spent 2 hours there, even though you knew that they had a smaller selection of shaft options. Which shaft(s) did you want to try?

But I would think that the Titleist fitter would know what to recommend for you based off of your swing and numbers from the pro tracer. I don't think they would fit you into something that you wouldn't be happy with

After dialing in a shaft-head combo, how was the set up for you?

If there is a regional fitting center close to you they will have a much larger selection of shafts available. If you want to have everything at the fitter's disposal, try a visit out to Oceanside or Manchester Lane if it is possible.

As Chris noted, anytime I wanted a specific shaft shipped to my club to try our local Titleist rep was always able to get the shaft out to us quickly on a loaner basis. Good luck with finding the right fit for your swing.

When I got fitted for my 915D2 I requested 5 additional shafts because the place I was being fitted did not have them. They contacted our regional Titleist Rep & she contacted Titleist she even added one she thought I might like. Store notified me when they came in we did the fitting with those & 3 other shafts. My Titleist rep looked at all the numbers and made her recommendation & now I have a wonderful 915D2 that fits me.

I wish I had a Titleist regional fitting center near by, or here in Kansas I don't know of any.

Between the Rogue and the Fuji, you won't find anything else that's better, trust me. It depends on the particular fitter, and what he chooses to stock. This is all depending on your swing speed......IMO

I had the opposite experience. When I got fitted for a new Titleist Driver they had dozens of shafts. I ended up getting fitted for a shaft from a previous generation of Drivers and was able to get it on special order from Titleist. It was a great experience and the shaft fits me perfect.
