Factory build up tape

    Hi. Can Titleist custom please tell me what build up tape they use in the factory ?

    I have a set of 714 ap2's with one layer of what looks like cloth tape plus one later double sided (factory fitted).

    Please confirm what the tape is (in particular thickness) so I can regrip like for like basis ? Thanks.

    Alex, I have already investigated this question! This is a proprietary tape made just for Titleist and it is not for sale unfortunately. I agree though it is wonderful tape since it does not tear easily when you regrip clubs!

    HI Alex, Give us a call with your serial number and we can let you know how many wraps you would need to simulate the build up. We have tape that acts as two wraps, three wraps and four wraps. Our number is: 888-TITLEIST

    Seriously? Nothing surprises me with Titleist anymore. Why wouldn't you have different thicknesses of tape to simulate different # of wraps.
    How cool is that!

    Hi Alex, Unfortunately, that is not a serial number we use in the US. Take a look at another club and perhaps we can assist. If you purchased this outside of the US, you would have to contact that country to see if they can look up the specs.
