  1. I was fitted for mb irons with tour issue x100, as well as midsize tour velvet.

My question is how do I get my irons to d5- 4 iron to 7 iron and then d6- 8 iron to pitching wedge. Is there any way I can special order a head weight of that significance and or could you find heads that would be heavy enough to be able to fit my specifications. I know there is a custom builder out of Japan that can meet those specifications but I hit the mb head from Titleist very well and would love to stay brand loyal.

Look forward to some help on this matter.

Hi Walter, At standard length, with the 716 MB, DG X100 and a Tour Velvet Mid sized grip, we can get to D4. Using a Winn DriTac Mid size grip, we can get to D5.
If you add an 1/8" and the Winn grip, we can get to D6. We do not have the same range of head weights as we do for our AP1's and AP2's.

Just make sure your pro shop specifies the swingweight as well as the change in swingweight for the 8-P.

Good old fashioned lead tape can do the trick too!
  4. Just rebuilt my 716 mb's. Swapped shafts for the x100 TI. Iomic grips at +5/8" hit d5. They are a heavy grip but they should have no issue achieving your swingweight goal. In my limited experience they are happy to accommodate those requests as long as it does not require back weighting.

You can order your irons longer. they will average about 3 swing weights for every 1/2" in extra length.
