  1. Want to replace me AP2 4 Iron, with a 915H 24* hybrid, as I'm hitting the 4 Iron too low. I hit it 200yrds, but carry 180, and 20 yrds run. The 24 rescue will give me the height, and carry to 190-205. Question is, I have the 915H head, and can I put a 5 wood shaft in it?I have a Diamana 60M+ x5ct Stiff flex that was in my 915 5wood. If I cut 2" off, what will that do to the flex, stiffness etc? Not using the shaft, so want to know the pro's and con's of using it. Has the sure fit already on it, but not sure how the club will perform if I try it...normal HY shafts are 70-80 grams..this 5 wood shaft with the grip is 114 grams, and the 80 gram HY shaft is 140 with the grip on it. So it is much lighter...any feedback Tom

I have a 913h 24°with a Nippon Utility 950g stiff flex steel shaft that replaced my 4 iron in my 714AP1. It is by far one of my favorite clubs in my bag. Play most of my rounds at a public course in my hometown. The opening hole is a short 339 slight dogleg to the right and a little narrow. I start my round off hitting my perfect 200 yard shot wth my 913H 24°. Leaving me a shirt wedge to the green.

Might want to take this up with someone who does this for a living and a pro at it. If I was going to do this I would take it to my friend who has an experienced fitter/repairer on staff and let them tell me the pros and cons and then based on that, let them do the work. I never do any repair work on my clubs, I let the pros do it for me, because I know it will be right. Just one opinion. I take mine in periodically for a tuneup. Lies, lofts, etc. Amazing what a tuneup will do for your distances.
