917 D-1 Setting

    When going from the A1 Setting to D1 is the lie and face angle still in a neutral position minus .75 degree of loft???

    Yep, mine 9.5 is set to D1 and it's just the loft change.

    Everything else is the same.

    I play the C1 position, I think the face angle might set just a little more open when I go to the lower loft setting, something that looks good to my eye.
  6. This is a good question, I cannot remember the effective face angle change for adding or subtracting loft on the surefit hosel...I seem to recall subtracting loft may close the face slightly but I hope one of the Titleist Techs can weigh in...

    In the old days of bending wood hosels (before adjustable hosels for those community members that have some silver in their hair like me) this was always a point of discussion.

    I am anxious to hear the exact answer.
