  1. Evening I am having a fitting for driver this weekend, I know a 3 wood length shaft in my old driver gives me more control and accuracy with only a small loss of distance. So what is the shortest driver shaft length titleist make as I don't want to go much above a 3 wood length. Thanks

  2. You can do just about any length, ensuring the proper swing weight is the issue. Titleist will make your driver minus 4 inches or add 2 inches to stock length of 45".

    Hope this helps! Chris

Looking at the custom options for the drivers it looks like you can knock up to 4" off the standard length of 45". Outside of making clubs for a kid a 41" driver seems pretty darn short. That's an inch sorter than the 917 F2 7 wood.

I would think at the fitting they have different length of shafts to fit you properly. hopefully they do.

Discuss this with your Titleist Certified fitter and see what he recommends. The shaft is the engine that drives the head.

I would definitely ask the fitter. Personally I would be afraid of losing the feel of the club head below 44.25" using the heaviest weight that Titleist offers, I think this would give you a D2 swingweight

Hey - definitely echo seeing a fitter. Your approach into the ball is what will determine the proper length. Puring a drive in the center of the face will give you better control and distance than a shaft too long for you. Maybe grab some face tape and hit the range to assess where you're striking the ball (and consistency). Once you know - center toe heel prevalence, then you can bring that to a fitter to dial you in or if it's all toe strikes it may be too long for you. Good luck and enjoy the process.
