  1. I just purchased a 917 driver. I want to have a adapter installed on it, but I am not into aftermarket tips or sellers claiming oem tips for sale. How can I get a surefit tip installed by Titleist? Thanks, J

I'm assuming you want a new shaft with a SureFit adapter installed....there are two ways to go about this: 1) Purchase a new shaft from Titleist and it comes equipped with the SureFit adapter 2) purchase the shaft you want and have your club repair shop remove the adapter from the shaft that came with the driver and install it on the new shaft.

The only way to get OEM adaptor is to order the shaft thru Titleist.

Best bet would be to purchase a shaft from a Titleist retailer. It will come with the Sure-Fit adapter and grip.

I am curious though, How did you get a 917 driver without a shaft? Titleist does not offer the clubhead for sale without a shaft.
  5. Im sorry, I wasn't clear. It did come with the Diamana Blue shaft, but I want to have a tip installed on another aftermarket shaft that I had already purchased. I want to keep the original shaft as is.

That complicates things a bit. If it is a shaft that Titleist offers, you may be able to get them to install an adapter for you. I have never asked the custom shop if they would do that for a customer. If it is a shaft that Titleist does NOT offer, I am pretty sure the answer would be no. In that case you only option would be to find a shaft and remove the adapter.
