I recently bought a 917 D2 8.5*, and it came stock with a fujikura pro 63 stiff shaft. Is this shaft a good performing shaft? I have a swing speed of around 105. Thanks

From what I have seen and read if a titleist club comes standard or available with a shaft then titleist has tested them to work together so since it is an option it will be a good performing shaft. The rest of the performance depends on your swing. You state your swing speed which does match the flex for a stiff flex. The shaft that you have is a mid to low mid launch and spin shaft so depending on your swing is if that will be the optimal launch and spin numbers for you. On a personal note I have liked a lot of the Fujikura shafts I have tried.

Fujikura makes a good shaft, has for years. It is about a $175 shaft by itself below are its specs and characteristics - hope it helps some

I have a similar swing speed and am playing the diamana white 70+. I have the Fuji speeder TS pro 84 in my 917F2 and love it!! Gained 10 yards carry over my previous titleist 3W with diamana blue 80. I'd recommend getting fit to your shaft if you have any doubts. It will help on your misses and maximize your launch conditions and carry on ideally hit shots. It also has to feel good in your hands. Great thing is you can adjust loft and lie to dial it in using the same driver. Good luck!!
