Currently playing 5-7 T-MB and 8-PW MB. I'm hitting the 7 iron about 160 and the 8 iron around 140-145. I'd like to have about 10 yards between the short and mid irons. If I go 2 degrees strong in the MB would I have any issues with bounce, turf interaction, etc? I'd guess the easy thing is to just try it since the MBs are easy to bend but I wanted to hear some opinions from fitters and those with personal experience. Thanks TT.

  2. I play a cb and mb mix and just had mine bent 1* strong. I switched shafts and was getting to much spin and was losing distance from my previous shafts. I have had no issues even noticing that they were bent strong aside of gaining my distance back. In theory you wouldn't even use the bounce on your irons as you should be making contact with the ball before your club makes contact with the turf. Now bending wedges can have some affect on the bounce depending on the grind of the wedge.

If you go stronger in loft the less bounce you will have.
I.e. 2 degrees stronger in loft will decrease the bounce by 2
Why not try 1 club by 1 degree of loft 1st to see your results

Hey Hatch - was about to ask the same question - my setup is AP2 5-wedges and I have a 3 hybrid at 18 degrees, and now have the TMB 4 iron in my bag (and want to bend it 1 degree strong for gapping), however I was concerned about bending since these clubs are cast and not forged. Anyone have experience bending these 1-2 degrees strong? Any issues? Looking forward to your responses.

Thanks for the input guys. I may start at 1 degree and go from there.

Justin, since the T-MB is cast, I would send it back to Titleist for the adjustment.
