Getting fit for my 915D

    I have a 915D driver. I was at the Turning Stone dome practicing and I got into a discussion with one of the pros. I asked about getting fit for my driver. He said the Diamana Blue board that came on the driver was not as good as the shafts you would buy directly from Diamana. He indicated there were "fewer wraps" on the shafts that come on the Tileist drivers. I sensed he was trying to upsell me into another shaft. I walked away feeling no confidence in him as a fitter. Any feedback?

    Hi Gary, The Diamana shafts in the 915's and the 917's are the same premium "aftermarket" shafts that are offered by Mitsubishi for sale on their website.

    thank you. I guess he was trying to sell me a different shaft. I'll stick to a Titleist fitting pro.

    Good decision. They will match you with the correct head and shaft from a great selection of standard shafts offered by Titleist.

    The information was accurate 4 years ago. The other thing you get with a Titleist fitter is experience with the 917s. With the new weight system, it is not same old - same old to fit it properly.
