917 driver weights availability

    Good morning #teamtitleist, I could really use some help. I was fitted for a new 917 driver (and 917 f2 fairway) on 3/4/17 during a 30 for 30 fitting event. I think I was fitted for a great setup for me and am very excited for this club...A 917 D3, with a rogue 60 shaft and a 14g draw weight. I still have not received my club because Titleist does not have any 14g weights available. My pro shop cannot get any information about when these weights will be available. When I talked to my pro shop this morning they said they told Titleist to just send the club with the standard weights because they want me to have my club and I can always find the weights later on. I am kind of unhappy about this as I want the club I was fitted for. The extra weight really did make a difference for me. Seems silly that I cannot get an answer as to when or how I can get the proper 14g weight. Especially since this club has been out since October. My pro shop also said that they cannot even order it from Titleist for me. What should I do? Can someone help me locate a 14g weight. I have been calling golf shops all over the country and no one can give me an answer. Please help a very loyal #teamtitleist member!!!! Thank you!!!!!

    I just call the custom club group and they confirmed that the 14 gram weight pair is currently on backorder. They estimate 4-6 weeks until they are available.

    Note that unless you are a Titleist retailer/account holder you can't call and get this information.

    I would make your retailer get the set on order for you at their cost as they made the call to have your driver shipped with a different weight set. You should not need to "find the weights later on".

    Just wanted to send a quick note to say thank you for responding to my post. To update, my pro shop guys told me to just be patient and that they are working hard to get me the correct weights. Well I was patient and they delivered on their promise to get me the weights asap. They called me yesterday and told me that they were in. So excited and can't wait to get to the range today to get dialed in! Thanks again!!!
