  1. I'm 42 and in good shape but had back surgery 3 years ago and just started playing regularly again last season. I had to learn how to swing a little differently because of the back and took lessons, I got better. I also got fitted for new clubs. The whole bag. My fitting was at school major retailer now out of business. I was fitted in the wrong shaft for driver. I got fitted for new 917. driver tipped blue board this off season and the thing is amazingly straight and long. My fairway and hybrid are also fine they are reg flex blueboard shafts. My irons are the issue. I was fitted with Kiro Kage reg shafts, they go all over the place 10 yards left of the green 8 yards right etc. and I'm not hitting anything in regulation. The old adage it's the archer not the arrow aside I am thinking something is wrong with the shafts for me. My swing is consistent enough now to hit driver and fairway straight almost every time. So now the question, can I get refitted for these irons? If so I can't buy new ones again. Would a reshaft be worth even worth it? Am I even good enough to worry about this? Thanks for any advice you might have.

You could try the 716s in the KK (I assume) 65 and the TT XP95/DG R300 metal to get an idea if the arrow or archer is at fault. If the S+ driver shaft works for you, then the KK may be to flexible and the head may be closing too fast. If a new set is off the table this year, then reshafting is a possibility. The TT shafts list for $27 a piece, add $6-10 for a grip, and 10-15 for a local shop to install. You'd have to check with a local shop for pricing. If you are concerned with maintaining a Titleist warranty, you can have the pro shop get you a quote including shipping and have Titleist do the work.
