    I'd like to purchase a 917 D2, with the Diamana D+ 70 Stiff shaft, and have it play at 43.5". What are some recommendations to keep the driver playing at a good swingweight (D2 or so) and a similar stiffness.

    The stock shaft length is 45" so shortening the shaft to 43.5" is a loss of 9 swingweight points.

    The lightest grip available is the Winn Excel RF, which is 43g. That will restore 2 swingweight points.

    That means you would have to add a total of 14g of weight to the head to make up the swingweight. 2g per swingweight point on the head either via a tip weight and/or head weight.

    Buy the weight kit and have it put on a swingweight scale. See how each insert affects it.

    Hi, We have grips as light as 25 grams which will bring back your swingweight about 6 swingweights. You can use the CG weight to bring the swingweight back even further. If you already know that this is the length (have discussed with a fitter), make sure they use the lightweight grip as well as CG option to achieve swingweight.

    I just had my 915D2 chopped 1" and added the golfpride multicompound grip and was wondering the same thing about the weight. Should I add weight and how much?
