I am looking to purchase the new Titleist 718 CB Irons when they release this year and I have a question regarding the KBS C-Taper shafts. I currently play Project X 5.5 in my current set, and I am thinking about switching to the KBS C-Taper Stiff. I obtain a great trajectory with the PX shafts. I have hit the KBS C-Taper Stiff in my local golf shop, and they seem to feel a bit stiffer. They produced the same results in terms of spin and trajectory as the PX 5.5, and went 5-10 yards further, which is great. My question is would it be beneficial to "Soft Step" the KBS C-Taper Stiff to achieve a softer feel? Also, can I play the KBS C-Taper in my wedges? Currently play PX in my wedges and have had zero issues with trajectory and spin -- I am thinking it would be an easy transition to the KBS C-Taper Stiff throughout my irons and wedges. Please let me know about soft stepping this shaft. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
