I have a 915F 5-wood standard length with a red weight & D3 swing weight. If I cut it down 1/2”, how much weight or what color weight would get it back to D3?

It would go to D0. You would have to have an additional 6 grams of head weight.

If you used a Winn Excel RF grip, it would regain 2 swingweight points vs the standard 52g grip.

I might add to my last post....

    I have a 910D2 driver I shortened to 44", a 913F 17 shortened to 42" and a 910H 27 shortened to 38.5"

All have Winn Excel RF oversize grips (2 swingweight point increase from 52g standard.

The 910D2 driver has a 12g weight (D1 swingweight with Bassara, D2 with Ilima). I am installing a 14g weight on the 913F to bring it to D2. The 27H has a 9g weight to bring it to D2.

Probably at least blue. Black may be too heavy but I like a little head weight

Also one thing to remember is that 915F 5 wood vs 913F and 910F are that the latter two are 1/2* upright with the same shaft length. I know for 913, the red weight is 9g and the black is 14. For 910, the red is 7g and the black is 12g.

Red is 9g for 915. Black is 14g and 17g. 14g would be 1/2 swingweight under your original and 17g would be 1 swingweight point above. Most people can't detect 1 swingweight point.
