For me, I like a tighter gapping, I have a 48, 52, 56, and 60. Depends really on what you are comfortable with for distance between clubs. I like the ability to swing full shots mainly so with the 4 degrees between clubs so I have about 15 yards in difference in length.

if I need to lose 5 yards off a club, I'll choke down on the club and make my normal full swing.

Hi JBigda. Congratulations on the new set. Based on the Titleist Wedge Gapping Guide (www.titleist.com/.../gapping), you would be looking at a 52* sand and a 58* lob. The best solution would entail a proper wedge 'fitting' session, including a discussion of your playing style, swing dynamics, and normal playing conditions. Absent that opportunity, I would stick with the Titleist recommendations.

I would add a 52 gap wedge and 56 degree sand wedge or the 58 degree K grind adjusted to 57 degrees- in my opinion 52 degrees is not sufficient for a sand wedge.

As someone else mentioned, the only way to know for sure would be to go through a thorough wedge fitting. 4*-6* is the recommendation, however, it also depends on what you're looking for and what would fit your game the best. I'd suggest taking your PW & GW with you to help your fitter get you dialed in.

My pithing wedge is 46° so I have a 50°, 54°, 58° so as to keep a 4° gap.
It's recommended to have around 4° to 5° between clubs.

LIke many things fitting related, the answer I like best is "it depends". If you are good at the feel shots of partial swings with the wedges, you can go with more or different gaps between wedges. If you like to hit partial shots to take spin off, or work the ball with short irons; you may use fewer or larger gaps between wedges. If you like full swings and precise yardages with your wedges, then maybe more wedges and less gap between them. Personally, I carry 3 wedges (48, 54,60). I like the little half shots to take spin off to a back pin, or hitting the shorter club harder to generate more spin to a front pin. That's me. I play with friends who have practice charts for their wedges that describe amount of swing with precise yardages. They like the 4 wedge set-up with less gap between wedges. It depends what you like and what you're good at.

I would get fitted if I were you, I carry 4 wedges, 46,52,56,60. There is approx. a 10yd gap between each wedge, except between the 46 and 52. That is 15 yds. Those distances are on. Full shots.
