    Hey everybody I have been playing the same irons for a while now and have been looking to upgrade with summer coming up. I am a full time student currently so I don't live near my home course and am missing the last Titleist Thursday even they are having. Has anyone been fit for a set of irons at a pga tour superstore? I want to make sure I get the right setup for my game and don't want to feel like I'm being rushed in the store to hit some balls and make a purchase. Thanks!

    I wouldn’t recommend any retail store for a fitting although it’s better than no fitting at all. Find a Titleist fitter near your school where you can not only get the TrackMan data but can see the shots outdoors on a range.

    I have but make sure you do the Fitting Van as you will have a very experience guy who knows what he or she is going

    I've heard mixed reviews on club fittings there from friends. I haven't done it. Personally, I think their customer service is terrible and I wouldn't buy a set of irons from there. Any Thursday events available near where you're in school?

    Unfortunately not. All of the courses that do fittings around here are for TM clubs and I am not a fan. I may just talk to the pro when I go home for the summer and see if he could help me out one day like it's a lesson but figure out what irons and shafts I need

    You get what you pay for when it's a free fitting. The tour van experience I talked about isn't free and normally the guy or girl who does it has a good idea how to fit.

    I second what Dale said. You definitely want to get on a Trackman for the correct data. I have always been fitted (3 sets of irons) outdoors with a Trackman and certainly multiple shafts. It's amazing how many combinations of clubs and shafts can be created these days.

    Thank you all for your input. Decided to contact the course pro during a study break and was able to set up an appointment for the week I go home to usse the trackman and get fit for some new irons. I really appreciate the feedback.

    Hey DSmith36, I did get fitted at the OF A Super Store in Paramus NO. I might have been lucky, but I had a great fitting there. They have all the equipment needed, and were more than professional . The fitting lasted more than an hour, and it was free. I was fitted in a Titleist booth. I would and will go back when an update is needed. Hope this helps.

    Indoor fittings work great - if you only play Top Golf. Can’t beat hitting from turf to take on course. For a grand worth of clubs, make it your best investment and wait for the right fitting.

    I would advise you to get fit outside,with Trackman or Flightscope. Ball flight never lies.Hope the fitting goes well.
