Damien, I am also swinging a 913D2 and am looking to possibly get fit for a TS2 when they come out. I know that it won’t be game changing but I have never been fit for clubs before so I’m hoping that I will notice a difference. I’m interested to see what some of the members here who have hit a couple of these drivers have to say.

Keep in mind, not only are you looking at new technology in the head design, shafts are much more improved. The combination might give you better results. Suggest you do a fitting and see if the numbers make it worth your while to tell Santa a TS2 or TS3 should go under the tree this year.

I was badly fit at a major golf retailer for a 915. I then researched all the shafts that could/would apply to me, made a scientific selection, and suffered from the results. So getting fit for the loft and shaft mated to my swing got me almost 20 yards with the 917. My subjective view is the off-center hits went further and straighter than before. I've been working out for flexibility and strength unlike before the 917, so with the benefit of fitting a different loft and shaft along with a ball change, I gained benefit (3 mph ball speed/13.5 yards) with a TS over the 917. Depending on your ball striking and conditioning (aging will win eventually), along with shaft technology and off center performance, getting a checkup every other release for the serious golfer is a good idea.

I was honoured to be invited to the introduction to the new TS driver and fairway woods and as usual Team Titleist not only didn't disappoint they blew me away with their professionalism their warmth and friendliness but the star of the day was the TS clubs. I have not been able to play since 2014 due to serious foot surgery and an accident on public transit that left me with neck back and shoulder injuries. I finally got news that I didn't need neck surgery so I ignore the pain and went to the launch. I want to say in the strongest terms anybody looking for a new driver the TS is the way to go. I was able to crush some drives and my over all results were incredible given my not playing and my injuries. I am biased because the guys at Eagles Nest fitting centre are fantastic and the new facilities are spectacular so I just want to say thanks again to Team Titleist I have been a Team Titleist member for around 10 years and have never regretted that decision!

You need to hit several shaft combinations, as well as adjusted lofts. Here I was hitting an X shaft at 10 degrees, my fitter told me he'd put me in a 7.5 if they made one! I was quite happy with my ball flight, although a touch high. He brought me down significantly, almost too low in my world. I love it. Personally, I only get a few yards difference cycle to cycle, as it's all ball flight for me. Test out several combinations!..
