716 AP1 irons

    Hi there was just looking for some advice/help. I was fitted for a set of 716 AP1 irons 18 months ago by my local Titleist fitter, I have just went to get my irons checked and he has suggested adding some lead tape to the heads so I am more aware of the head during the swing. The pro placed the tape in the cavity but after he left the tape came loose.

    Does anyone have any suggestions of how to get the tape to stick to the plastic in the cavity?

    Maybe it's just me, but I've used lead tape on woods before mostly for balance (toe and heel). Hard stuff to remove sometimes. I would never put them in the inserts of a new set of Titleist irons. Don't see how that helps to feel the head either during a full swing. Hope you get some good suggestions. Good luck with the new sticks.
