  1. Hi all -

Trying to determine my lie on my own, so I tried the lie board and vertical line tests.

Based on the photo attached, any thoughts on if this is a correct lie?

  2. Looks a bit too upright to me. It is a bit heal heavy. What does your ball flight say. If the lie is too upright it will encourage a hook!
  3. Almost on spot, but looks slightly toward the heal to me.

Looking at your first photo it looks like the lie is too upright aprox 2 to 3 degrees causing heel to hit ground first and ball going left of target. I suggest to you find someone that has a loft & lie machine to correct the lie so that you are striking the ball in a more central position on the sole of club.
Therefor on your second photo you should then be striking the ball more to the centre of the club face.

    Hope this explains

Looks a tad upright, but what's the ball flight doing? If you adjust, do it 1 degree at a time. Any reputable repairman will work with you on that.
  6. Thanks all!

Ball flight is straight (no draw, maybe the slightest of fade).

When I hit it dead solid, it appears to be on target. Any bit of a miss, though, and it will go 10-15 yards right of target.

If you already have a slight fade, don't go flatter. That will just accentuate the fade.
