    I recently changed my irons, going from 714 AP2 S300 to 718 AP1 R300 and from 915 driver and fairways to 917. My question is this....my irons are set 2 degree upright, should my driver and fairways be set up the same way or is being at A1 setting correct?

    My change was in July and my game never really improved or degraded with the new set up.

    I have a 12.1 index that has dropped from a 16 index this past season.

    Gold... My advice would be to grab a couple of large buckets and the wrench and head to the range for some testing. It's very easy to dial in the driver to your desired flight, shape, launch just with a few clicks of the wrench and some spare time. You will be able to tell if you are hitting the center of the face just by sound and feel. You can also just put some masking tape on the club face and look for the ball marks after each swing. You will the know if you need to adjust the lie angle up or down and also open or close the face. Today's technology is really amazing when it comes to golf!

    With TUser’s advice to go to the range, you may find a setting other than A1 that optimizes your flight, but the lie setting doesn’t correlate to your iron setting The geometry is entirely different.
