  1. My dream is to someday go through a full bag fitting with Titleist. I live in Western NY. Suggestions? Cost?

From what I have seen Titleist typically has demo days. You can search in your area with the link below. Typically the ones I have been tonhave been free since you’re buoying their equipment. I have played there clubs for in different versions through the entire bag. Well worth the time.

Depending on time of year and where you live:

  3. I had my whole bag stolen the beginning of Summer 2017. I then met with the local Atlanta Titleist fitter Vince Young and we did a fitting from putter through driver. It was amazing. Vince dialed in all of the clubs including a full Vokey wedge fitting. After a couple of hours, I was able to walk away with an email detailing all of the 14 clubs that needed to be ordered. A couple weeks later I had a new Titleist Deluxe Cart Bag filled with all new Titleist clubs. In the past 6 months I added a different Scotty Cameron putter (pulled out the Notchback and added the Newport 3) and the TS3 driver.

Above is the link on the fitting page to the Titleist Massachusetts facility and cost for a full bag fitting. I am on the left coast, and did the same fitting at Titleist's Carlsbad center. It was worth the experience, and the fitters really know the product and have the full range of Titleist options.

Bottom Line up Front: I am not bashing the Full Bag Experience - and I am a firm believer in the fitting process and quality of a professional fitting session with a well experienced (and well equipped) fitter - I personally just need more than one kick at the can to figure out what is best for me and my swing.

I am a bit of a tinkerer and like trying to find differences not only with model but shaft and length if possible. As such, I have always found I can never really get it all done in one session. In fact I have noticed differences over multiple days with differing recommendations. I guess my mantra is that each "component" really needs it's own session. Irons/Hybrid, Wedges, Driver/Fairway would be the way I generally group sessions - Only have so many quality swings a day! And then I always want to compare apples to apples differences between what I am about to select and what I am currently playing - I find that this is best done on a separate day as well if at all possible.

    My two cents - Jason

One advantage of a Titleist Thursday is the sessions are 45 minutes, so you can work on wedges, irons, and woods in multiple sessions. 2-2.5 hours for a full bag will either allow fatigue to set in or get you to grove a swing you might not actually use on course. Needless to say, you don't get to hit driver 8-10 times in a row on each hole. You can sign up that way at TPI/Manchester, but getting 3 separate sessions in 2-3 days will be a challenge to schedule.
