I would recommend AP1's if you are going to join Team Titleist in the future. They are our most forgiving iron but alot has to do with the shaft you put in them. I would recommend getting professionally fit by a Titleist product specialist when you decide to buy Titleist irons so you are playing the correct equipment for your swing.

AP1's are great irons. They are the longest and most forgiving irons in the line. That being said, they are still used by some very good players and Ben Crane used them to win some PGA events if I'm not mistaken.

Nothing beats a Titleist iron for a serious golfer. Do note I define "serious" as someone that wants to play golf with some commitment. I don't care if your handicap is 5 or 25, one can still be a serious golfer. If you are serious about the game, you can get lessons to improve your swing, and the AP1s will serve you well. My original exposure to Titleist irons was between the AP1 712 and the G15 - a super GI iron. I made the decision to go with the AP1 based on not looking like a garden hoe and I was going to commit to more rounds, practice, and lessons to do the irons justice, not to mention make the game more enjoyable. I've never looked back on that choice.
