  1. I am in the Philadelphia area and looking to get fit for a TS driver. I am a college golfer so I can get the clubs through the school program but want to get completely fit first. When using the fitting search nothing is popping up. Does anyone in this area recommend a fitter that can be trusted? Most of the GG stores and others like it are very misinformed and I find it hard to trust any of their input.

    Thanks!

It is too early for outdoor fitting events. If you search locations instead of events, there are multiple courses. Private clubs like Marion may do fittings for non-members, never hurts to ask. If you can find a Titleist Thursday when they post in the Maryland- Delaware - PA - NJ area, those fittings are free. Asking a club professional out of the blue to do it for free is probably not going to work. Does your coach have pro contacts for a free or discounted fitting? There are 3 Premier sites, but you have to set your location search to 100 miles.
If you went to a retail outlet for a fitting, w/o a purchase they would likely charge you and the quality of the fitter may be suspect. I agree this would be my last choice.
  3. Okay I figured as much with the time of the year for outdoor fittings. I'll see about local courses, just did not want to wait too long as the season is approaching. I guess I should have though of this a lot sooner rather then waiting until now! Live and learn

Although you can get fit at indoor locals, I'm one who likes to see my ball flight myself and not just trust the numbers. I'm a visual person, so I like the outdoors fittings too. Check the Titleist site for Titleist Thursdays at different locals, and check with local courses, especially those where the pro may be a Titleist Staff person. Not knowing where you're located those are my suggestions, and maybe you can find a "superstore" or golf hitting facility that has the indoor/outdoor hitting bays where you're technically indoors, but hitting the ball out into the open and can see the entire flight, even if it falls into that evil cold white stuff that covers the ground.
