For shaft selection, you should try to find a Titleist fitter that can try a variety of lighter, higher launching shafts. The Kuro Kage 55/65 g shafts would be a starting point. There may be another problem that a good fitter might suggest. For us mere mortals with swing speeds in the 90 mph clubhead speed, a 16.5 (4W) or 18 degree (5W) fairway may be the max we can hit with enough force to launch a ball off the turf. Even a 10.5 loft driver with a couple of degrees of upward swing is an effective loft of 12-13 degrees of loft. Add 4 degrees for separation to your first fairway wood is in the 16-17 degree target range for the loft.

The only way you're going to get the ball airborne is to see a certified fitter.. The guessing game will only cause frustration and a loss of $$$!

Borderline regular/stiff. See a fitter. Too light of a shaft or too soft of a flex results in a pull or snap hook. Too stiff or too heavy results in a push or fade. My best shaft is a Diamana M60+ R for fairways. Diamana S70+ R for hybrids. I play both -1/2" at most upright lie angle. I have a 14g weight on my 3 wood (too light of a weight causes a fade). My driver is a Bassara 50g R flex at standard length and lie angle.
