  1. Im getting custom fitted for a driver here soon, and excluding the cost of the fitting itself, how much can a custom driver cost?

Most places will sell the TS2/3 for $499; will come with your choice of around 50 shafts that have no upcharge and the tour velvet grip. If you want a shaft upgrade, depends on the shaft, I don't know for sure, but some of those can run an extra $299+.

I was fitted into the Smoke 6.0 (one of the stock shafts), no extra charge, but I wished the MCC Plus 4 grip and that was a $13 upgrade. Then add tax. That's it.

If you go to the custom options catalog with all the shafts, Titleist clubs retail for the suggested price with either a stock shaft or a custom shaft marked as an Upcharge = No. Whether you buy an off the rack unit at a retailer or custom order a driver through an authorized pro shop/dealer, the price is about the same. If you settle on a shaft marked as Upcharge = Yes, then there will be a higher charge for that driver. That will vary depending on the shaft. Some exotic shafts could add a couple of hundred or more. Many pro shops will discount the fitting down to free with a purchase. Full custom club fitters that build onsite may charge more. It pays to shop and getting fitted, at least with Titleist, is the best value you can have with new clubs.
