  1. Yes I’m a 65 yo needing alittle help. I’m have AP1 in steel but I’m not getting the ball up like I want. I’ve played graphite for many years but switched because of cost. My driver swing speed is 85-90,I’ve had two back surgeries and left shoulder surgery as well. I generally have a 8 handicap because I only get to play weekend golf. I’m leaning toward ap3 in graphite but I’m wondering if I’m ready for senior flex. How much difference between regular and senior. And advice thanks

Get fitted by someone with shaft availability. I got fitted 3 1/2 years ago by a Titleist rep and we probably went thru 8 different shafts/flexes. There are so many variables between shafts that it's worth it to try some of the lighter steel shafts if you don't want the graphite. I am 62 and have had several injuries that limit my game, yet the best numbers for me ended up with the KBS Tour 90 stiff shafts. Most golf shops will only try you out with a handful of shafts, so if you can find a Titleist fitting (preferably on an outdoor range), I think you might be surprised.

Weight and bend profile are more important than flex in most instances. It is difficult to respond without more information such as launch angle, spin rates, etc. Your driver swing speed is still good enough to get you a great combination of shaft and heads with a decent fitter.
