I have read multiple different opinions on how Titleist tips shafts installed into the SureFit hosel adapter to ensure they fit true to flex. I've also read that Titleist tips their shafts differently based on the model. I'm hoping someone from Titleist can help me with this.

I am installing a Fujikura Pro Tour Spec 2.0 7 Stiff shaft into a Titleist TS3 driver (9.5) and TS2 fairway (16.5). Does Titleist tip these shafts prior to installing the SureFit hosel adapter? Fujikura's tipping recommendations suggests no tipping, but they also state they are just recommendations. Any thoughts from Titleist on how they prep these shafts in both their driver and fairways?

    Appreciate the time!

PS - Yes, I've been fit for this shaft and the above setup. I am a club builder just looking for more info from Titleist on how they prep & install their adapters.

Hello Mike, We do not tip the PRO TS 2.0 for the driver and would tip it 1/2" for the fairway.

Our standard tipping varies from no tipping to 1/2" tipping on drivers. We will, upon request, tip up to 1.5".

    Excellent, thank you so much!
