  1. Just needing some guidance on which shaft would be best? Been fitted into the PX LZ 5.5 shaft or the KBS C-Taper r110; KBS providing slightly better numbers but felt harsh. (7 iron swing speed 74-77mph and currently using s300s) Would the c-taper lite feel smoother or is the difference minimal? Any advice would be appreciated.

C-Taper lite would be a little harsher imo .. the lz are very smooth. Hit them both outside where you can see the difference and make a decision.
  3. Thanks for advice!
Both irons (JPX Forged) i can get are considerably cheaper than from new. Can get the 2019 model with c-taper lite r or the 2017 model with the PX 5.5 LZ (these are £100 cheaper).
Prefer the PX but absolute bargain with the 2019 model.
The normal C-Taper felt quite harsh so hoping the lite will be a little smoother? Otherwise be getting older model but with the ideal shaft!

My 7 iron swing speed is the same as yours...was fitted in the project lz 5.5, hated the c taper. Loved the lz, now just trying to decide if I want to go the 5.0 that is 5 grams lighter for my bad back issues, but hard step them a couple times. Can’t go wrong with the lz. Good luck!!

I play the c taper lite in stiff. I like it but just hit the modus 105 and really liked that shaft too. Look into hitting that shaft has a nice feel imo.
  6. I hit the modus and didn’t really do it for me. Best were graphite px catalyst but wanting something that i will develop with.
Love the PX LZ but CTaper lite gave best numbers
  7. Hi Pat,

I tried those shafts in my fittings and felt that the LZ was smoother than the C-Taper. I found some other KBS shafts to feel smoother than the LZ, just not the C-Taper. Good luck.

I've played the PX, the C-Taper, the C-Taper Lite and now the LZ myself.

I do feel that the C-Taper and C-Taper Lite feels better, but you will get that same feeling if you hit the sweet spot with the LZ, it's just not as good if you don't. not really a bad thing, if you just want to improve your contact and more incentive to work on it.

I made the switch because they are similar shafts, and Titleist didn't charge for the LZ but they would for the CTL.

I listened to my fitter and I have been happy with the switch I made a year and a half ago.

I'll always be a CT fan, but the LZ shaft is a great shaft and you will likely be happy with it.

Lastly though, I think the CTL is a slightly higher launch than the LZ if that helps you decide.

    Best of luck!
  9. Thanks Guys! Luckily got a set with each shaft on cheap deals! So going to spend the summer with them and grind out which is best. At the minute; pretty tough to call! CTL very smooth but a little light whereas LZ feels a little firmer; which may last me longer.
Will update post summer incase anyone has same query as me
