Well I'm pretty close to buying my new TS Driver. I'm down to the Tensei Blue shaft. But my numbers are so close with either the TS2 or TS3 head and whether it should be a regular or still flex. I did a Titleist Thursday about a month ago and the rep told me I'm a tweener between regular and stiff - swing speed about 95-97 mph

So Team Titleist friends I would like your thoughts from anyone who is playing the stock Tensei shaft in either head.

If you were fitted and he was using a Trackman, you numbers should have reflected the best numbers. Were you at a demo day or at an actual fitting?

I went through the same experience at a local golf shop, but they recommended and only fit me with the TS2 driver. After all testing I ended up with the 9.5 degree and Tensei stiff shaft. They said my distance was about the same for regular and stiff, but my dispersion was tighter with the stiff. All fitting was done indoors. About 2 months later I went through a new iron fitting with a Titleist rep at an outdoor range and told the fitter I was struggling with too much spin on my driver so he put me through a driver fitting, and the spin numbers dropped with the TS3 head and the Kuro Kage stiff shaft. Couldn't justify buying another driver so he dropped my loft to 8 3/4 degree and gave me a few pointers to work on. After a few weeks of work I am satisfied with my set-up. Funny how a few unexpected tweeks can really make a difference. The Tensei shaft is a great shaft, and the TS3 gives you a few more options on settings. If your comfortable with the stiff shaft, go for it. One thing he mentioned...don't be afraid to experiment with the adjustments to find what works best on occasions where your swing is off a bit. Them Titleist dudes are pretty knowledgeable!!!

Yep John, the TrackMan numbers should show a difference. I did two separate fittings before we locked in my 10.5 TS3 with Tensei Blue 55R shaft. I am a firm believer in multiple fittings as my swing tends to vary a bit from time to time.

    Dale,

What were your numbers with the 10.5 TS3 Tensei Blue shaft 55R shaft? That combo seems to be the one for me too.
