Been a long time since I have been here guys. Probably over two years, my dear wife had a stroke 2 1/2 years ago and began having seizures after that for a full year everyday (7-8 per day) 1287 to exactly in one year. However a miracle did happen and she was healed by a miracle after the best doctors on the east coast could not find out why the seizures were happening but God did. Anyway during that time Golf was the last thing going on with me between caring for her and work, so my clubs got gone, complete bag of Titleist 714 AP1 irons and 915 woods, so here I am now back playing some and have been practicing a lot. I’m currently playing a set of png I e1 irons and hit them pretty consistent but was just wondering if a set of AP2 718 would be too much, my ball striking is better than it was during the lay-off, 7 iron is 160 yards with the Pings. Advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  2. First of all congratulations on your wife's recovery and for being able to get back on the course. The new T series line is impressive, based on your previous clubs the T300 is the new equivalent to the AP1. You may like the T200's, cleaner look, but plenty of game improvement features and distance with a forged face. The T100's are their forged player's club with tungsten weights in the head, i switched to these after 16 years of playing MB's and love the feel. For woods TS2 or TS3 whichever sets up to your eye better and probably start with the Tensei AV shaft and if it is too high or too low then check other options in the line. New hybrids and driving irons are also an option and gap your SM7's to the new lofts of your irons. Get fit by a reputable club fitter and get back to enjoying the game - you have earned it.

Congrats on your wife's recovery. GOD is good!! There is something to be said about holding clubs in your hands by the number 1 name in golf!! Hats and balls included. I'm pretty sure you already know the answer. Go ahead and splurge!! You've been through enough.
    Play Well,
    Steve S.
