  1. Hi Can you please explain the difference between XP 100 R300 and the XP 100 S300 I play off 11 Hcp. and I use a Reguler shaft when I go into your site and go though the questions and sometimes it comes up with R300 and sometimes it is S300. Kind Regards Jay

What's the difference between regular and stiff shafts? A stiff shaft is firmer and harder to bend than a regular shaft, and so more often than not, they're also heavier in weight. As a rough rule of thumb, the more speed you generate, the stiffer your shafts should be.

Do you know what your clubhead speed is for your irons? It is important that you go see a fitter to get the correct shaft. I just went from a stiff shaft to a regular this year. Gives me much better control of my irons as well as distance with the new T300s. At 73, think it is time and my club head speed with my 7 iron is around 72, according to my fitter. Loving the new irons, nice high flight. The longer irons are 107 gms and the shorter are 95 gms.
  3. this can become a personal question since I am in between two flexes and chose the softer flex since I preferred he feel on missed shots. Both felt great on the sweetspot however for me it became a personal issue.

Also, you may want to know that the dispersion of a R vs S shaft may be different; the R generally has more torque which means more twisting of the club face plus the R may be slightly farther.

Check this out on trackman when you are having a fitting and see the differences yourself.

    Good Luck! Chris
