What would be equivalent to the KBS C taper lite (stiff) in the shaft options Titleist provides?

  2. C Taper Lite is an immediately available shaft from the factory with a $25/per upcharge. Mine were shipped in less than two weeks. Not sure there is an equivalent standard no upcharge option since this shaft is pretty unique in its mid-higher launch, with mid-lower spin given its lighter weight, e.g stiff=100g. In the standard shafts, I believe that ProjectX LZ would have similar launch and spin but its a heavier shaft, e.g. 6.0=110g. AMT Black would be similar weight but higher spin.

Not sure if there is an equivalent no-charge standard shaft given the C-Taper's unique mid-higher launch and mid-lower spin at a lower weight, S=110g. In the standard, no upcharge shafts, Project X LZ is probably similar launch and spin but is 10g heavier. AMT Black is about the same weight but higher spin.

Take a look at the two links below for resources that may help to answer your question. You could also just talk with a fitter to see if you can get the answer.

Thanks! The Golftec I went to wasn’t authorized by Titleist to fit for irons. I got fit into the JPX 919 Tour or P760s.... but I’m leaning more towards the T-Series.

How do you like your irons with the C Tape Lite Shaft?
  6. Love the C-Taper Lite. I have been playing them (regular flex) in my AP2s for three year, and I just got a set of T100 with them. I had previously been playing a KBS Tour Stiff, which was getting harder and harder to get up in the air as I hit 50... By comparison, the C-Taper Lite will feel a lot lighter and it gave me a significantly higher ball flight and about 5-10 yards more carry. I think it is the perfect balance for me. The only way to tell for you is to go to a good fitter and get on a Trackman.
