Does Titleist now provide Surefit adapters to fitters/builders? Are there any know club fitters that have access to and use OEM Surefit adapters from Titleist for builds or do most fitters/builders only have access to aftermarket parts? Just curious as I was talking to a fitter at an area “top 100” shop and was told that they use OEM adapters. Was under the impression that Titleist does not offer these and the only way to obtain an OEM adapter is to send your club/shaft direct to Titleist.

If I order a shaft from pro shops/equipment specialists, it will (and has) come with a non-OEM adapter. As you note. I did not think you could send a shaft to Titleist and have an adapter applied. I though they only sold shafts out of their inventory (quality control measure).

There are custom makers like Club Champion that custom build all their clubs onsite, including Titleist, that may have a unique contract. Apparently CC can also order a set of heads and not complete clubs. Not sure who all can.

Having seen the Carlsbad Titleist facility and the amount of quality control in every club assembled, my ego doesn't need to have a custom assembled club over the price of the base Titleist-built custom order.

That is interesting that Club Champion can do that. Last year I went to a Cool Clubs fitting. It was a great experience and great fitting, but if you order clubs through them, they get charge you for a full set of clubs and then full charge for their shafts and work at a premium.

I just wanted their fitting and knew I wouldn't buy clubs from them, but man...
