  1. If i ordered a TS3 driver from Titleist and put in Fujikura Pro 2.0 Tour Spec 6S shaft would you tip the shaft? Also, what would you cut the shaft to in order to play the standard 45.5"? Same for TS3 15* 3 wood, but with a Fujikura Pro 2.0 tour spec 7S shaft, would you tip it at all? And what would shaft be cut to in order to play standard 43"?

  2. Anyone from Titleist on here that can answer this? It's a pretty easy question that should be easy to find out from the clubmaking department.

The Titleist team that validates shafts isn't on this forum. Virtually all the respondents are end users, with an occasional assist from a customer service concierge.

That said, you would do better either using the Fubuki site for information on a shaft not in the Titleist matrix and/or a shop doing customized shaft installs. I didn't see this shaft, so I'm guessing it is not a published matrix approved item. Many vendor shaft sites indicate the standard tipping, and then the length is adjusted at the butt end.

Assuming you purchase a new club, it will come with a shaft - Titleist does not sell naked heads. That will be the final length guide.

I know this isn't what you expected, but if someone with more build experience wants to expand on this, feel free.
  4. Joe,

At Titleist our R and D department tests all the shaft before they are added to our shaft line up. We tip the shafts according to what the R and D department recommends to have them play correct to the flex. The Fujikura Pro 2.0 Tour Spec 6S Driver shaft in a TS driver head at 45.5 is not tipped STD if ordered from Titleist. Fujikura Pro 2.0 tour spec 7S shaft for a 3 wood at 43 in a TS fairway head is tipped 1/2 inch STD. Shafts can be tipped up to 1.5 inches on request depending on what length the shaft is ordered at. Most of these shafts come at a raw length of 46 from the shaft manufacturer and they are cut to length.
