Long story short the last 2 drivers I have gotten fitted for and purchased didn't work for me and I have now just gone and bought one off the shelf that I'm absolutely killing! I know very little about shafts and tip points etc, I just trusted that the fitters knew and would get me into the right thing. The first one I got fitted to about 3 years ago and they fit me into an exotic Stiff shaft that i way overpaid for...next I went to a different fitter and got fitted to a TS2 with a EvenFlow White X-stiff shaft a little over a year ago. I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with either driver. So frustrated, I went to Edwin Watts a couple of weeks ago and bought a driver with a Regular shaft and took my TS2 in to show him and he couldn't believe someone recommended that for me. So now I've learned (the hard way) how important shafts are and getting the right one, but should I not rely on the fitters recommendation or did i just happen to have 2 bad experiences with fitters? Also my next question is how easy is it to change out the shaft in my TS2 to see if that fixes my issue because i also have a matching 3 wood with the same X-stiff shaft and i would like to try out a new shaft before buying a new one? Or do I just not worry about it and move on since I found another one that seems to be working and buy the matching 3 wood to the new driver? Thanks again for your help and if you made it this far through this long winded post :)
