What exactly is a Titleist Thursday? It’s one of the several options we offer for players to get fit and trial our latest and greatest products. The best part… it’s completely free and open to anyone!

For a better look at what to expect at a Titleist Thursday, our friends at Golficity shared their experience at a local event earlier this year to trial new product, chat with a Titleist fitting expert and more. Make sure to check it out, head out to a local Titleist Thursday near you and let us know in the comments below what your experience was like!

They are once again something that shows how Titleist is about getting someone into the right club(s) ball etc etc instead of offering several club changes throughout the year and make people try to keep up with their changes and ope it works for them

It is a great experience as I have been to 3 of them, this last one did not go well as there was a discrepancy in what my fitter told me & the pro VS what he sent me in an email. I tried to contact him 3 times but I never heard from him again. So I kept my current 716 Ap1's and went on down the road.

Would have liked to purchase some T-200 irons but without the correct, length & lie information I felt I shouldn't order them....

Starting to play golf more than every other year after 60 and being LH to boot, there is nothing ever on the rack for me. I've been using WI's sole Premier site since I happened upon it by accident trying to find something other than the Adam's Super Game Improvement iron sets with semi-hybrid shaped irons and huge offsets. That site moved from Madison to about 60 miles from me. I have use a Titleist fitting date at the muni closest to my house. It isn't a regular site and doesn't fit on Thursdays but the fitter that comes in is still top notch. At either location, I have full confidence of the fitter's recommendation. Like in the video, we start with my current clubs and then go from there. The TT has not applied pressure to buy and it's my choice to buy and from where I buy it. I do recognize the sponsoring course is providing the space and if I choose to buy, I'll do it there.

I appreciate that Titleist doesn't just treat me or their equipment as commodities to be pushed out the door.

I have done two at The Grand Del Mar with Travis Ordonez and they could not have gone any better. Travis did an excellent job of balancing what I was looking to get out of my clubs and what the data was pointing me towards. Our first session was for irons where I was thinking AP1 but we ended up in a full set of T-MB's. The next time we met up was for a T-Series driver. Again, I was thinking TS2 but TS3 numbers were better for me and the subtle difference in look at set up (closer to the smaller headed D3's I had played in the past) were good for me. Sure, getting to do a full day at one of the TPI's would be the ultimate fitting session but if you have limited time and are focusing on just one piece of equipment, Titleist Thursdays are a great option. Thanks Emily for the reminder.

I do my Titleist Thursday's thru Bill Forbes (Titleist Product Specialist) at Murrells Inlet and here when it is offered.
Extremely knowledgeable and has been with Titleist for many years. We have been working together for years and I have been extremely pleased. My fittings are based on results and improvement. If we see that I need a new clubs based on Trackman then I buy. We always explore all options and he is very thorough. He has always been honest with me and that is why I go to him. I always take my previous Titleist models to compare per his instructions. I do like the free part. Kudos to Billy.

I’m going to my first Titleist Thursday this week just outside of Oceanside. I already have a TS2 driver but I think I’m getting too much spin and want to see if I need to change heads or possible weights/shaft with my current setup. Hoping to unlock some extra yardage off the tee.

I just got back from my Titleist Thursday with Jim Pooler and I couldn't be happier. My bag is already loaded with Titleist gear, so today I really wanted to focus on my driver and getting it dialed in. It was my very first Titleist club I've ever purchased and it was straight off the rack (Titleist TS2 w/Hazardous Smoke 6.0) The driver has been great in the bag, reliable and straight, a fairway finding machine... But I would occasionally come up a little short on some shots that I thought I struck pretty well. I mean in the end, we're all chasing distance. So going into todays fitting I wanted to either fine tune my current driver (weight change, shaft change, etc..), or swap into a TS3 if that gave me more yardage.

Jim was great. Right off the bat we get some baseline numbers with my current setup and number wise its looking pretty decent. Spin isn't super high, shot shape is what Im going for (fade) but Im not getting high enough launch numbers and a couple shots just seem to die out early. Apparently I have an attack angle that is a little down (thats work for a coach, not Jim).

First thing he does is look at my SureFit setting and make an adjustment and I give that a go. I don't look to see what it is, I just hit. Ball flight is higher and sustained. I ask what the numbers look like, 248 carry rolling out to 268. Sounds like a winner to me. But Jim isn't done and he wants to make sure Im getting the most from the club. We try several different shafts, from OEM options to exotic upgrades. The Tour AD felt great, but the numbers weren't beating my current setup and the other choices just weren't working with the timing of my swing. A couple snap hooks and pushes were no bueno.

At the end of the day Jim found about 15 yards (give or take) with my current setup just by making a surefit adjustment. (Went from D2 to D4) My Arccos stats have me averaging 248 total, usually landing around 230 ish. So now its on me if I want to hit it farther. My driver is optimized but my swing isn't. I have a hard time breaking 100mph, usually hovering around 98. I have my first lesson next Thursday in my quest to reach 300.
