are the t-400 a good club for someone in his 70's??

  1. can a 70 + year old person use the t-400 irons. can the get the distance the clubs will give with a slower swing speed (85 to 90)???

    ...When I turn 70 in 2 weeks, I'll say yes. I went to a fitting for T200-T300-T400, and from launch, ball speed, and distance, the T400 with the light shaft won. I have a T300 5 iron that is the same loft as the T400 7 iron, so it wasn't just comparing a 26 degree 7 iron to a 29 degree T300 7 iron fitting iron. The T400 7 iron is my 150-155, and my AP3 5 iron was only 142-148 yards

    I'm happy with the T400's. My own experience is I hold greens with 6-8 irons better with a Pro-V1 instead of AVX. I didn't get a 20 degree 5 iron out of fear of hitting a 20 degree iron. The 23 degree 6 iron is maybe marginal over a hybrid. My driver speed is around 85 mph.
