My Thursday fitting was cancelled for a Hurricane back in early November and never rescheduled. Can someone share with me the difference between a Premier Fitting and a Fitting? I am looking to getting fitted and want to ensure we do it right.

    Thank you in advance.

  2. Never heard of a difference in fittings, except for static vs. kinetic fittings. Static is great for beginners and takes into account the players physical attributes to help determine proper length/lie. Kinetic will be more involved and taking into account ball flight tendencies as well as the players natural swing - club path, attack angle etc. Beginning players haven't developed their natural swing yet, but it is just as important for them to get fit properly so they dont develop bad habits compensating for clubs that dont fit them from a physical standpoint. I have never made the distinction between one way being "premier" a fitting is a fitting, the

Dave - I figured out the difference and it’s significant...at least where I reside. I went to two locations first locally to check their fitting aspect. Each one had some machines and gave you an idea of performance and feel of club but I would not have ended up as well. I then took the time to sign up for a “premiere” fitting as listed on the title I eat website. It was night and day....if you get a chance to do a premiere it’s well worth the dollars.

In a simple man's terms, the Premier fitters have more toys to try (wider shaft selections) and they generally do more fittings than a local pro shop. Sort of like the guy doing bypass surgery. You can go to the local guy that does 2 a month, or the tertiary care center where the team averages 5-10 a day. Without a personal relationship with a local pro and hearing testimonials, I'd go to the Premier site.

The Titleist Thursday crews are close to what you would get with a Premier site. The rep carries a larger selection of shafts than the typical small pro shop. The fitter scheduling 10-12 fittings on a Thursday also has a good experience record.
  5. My facility is definitely a "premier" fitting facility so it was hard to comprehend any other type of fitting. But i know not all places have access to the same selection or technology that we have. When reps come in for featured demo days they don't provide anything more than what we provide day in and day out. As a fitter that has done an estimated 3,000 fittings (maybe more) i can say most of the time i can figure out a players specs within about a half dozen swings, however for the benefit of the player i take quite a bit of time with each one to confirm and prove my initial recommendation so they understand how and why we ended up there.
