  1. I am trying to decide from those two but unluckily my local pro shop does not have 6X shaft.

I've tried 6S and really loved the feeling of the shaft.

Would y'all give me some recommendations? The major issue is that I am not sure that if I can handle Ventus Black 6X with my current swing speed.

    Cobra F9 - Adila rogue 110msi 60X

    Swing weight D2

    Swing speed 105-112mph

    Ball speed 158-164mph

    Spin 3000rpm

    Launch 8-11 degrees

Your pro shop can check with the local Titleist rep and see if Carlsbad can loan the X shaft for a comparison. This is a service that Titleist does.
  3. Do what Don said. They will loan you the shaft for a week. Purely looking at your numbers i am guessing you have a negative attack angle (hitting down on the ball) i would think you could optimize your shots by increasing your launch and dropping your spin. The X should in theory kill some spin. Your swing speed is fast enough for the X, but if you are going to order up demo shafts might as well look at the graphite design xc, iz, di and ventus blue.

Plenty of club head speed for X flex. Like Dave said, adjust that setup and work on angle of attack and you'll generate some big numbers.

To add, with such low launch angle numbers, you might be better suited for the Ventus Blue as it's a medium launch, low spin shaft (whereas the Black is low launch). I would work on angle of attack to see if you can get that launch angle closer to 12 or 13 degrees and spin under 2,600 with your current shaft before dropping another $300+ on a shaft.
  6. go X in blue or black
  7. That's a tough comparison as your comparing shafts with different balance points, may effect swing speed. Your swing speed suggest you cam handle the X flex. IMO I think you should test a few different shafts until you find one that gives you optimal numbers before you spend the $$$

Just a note: I'm currently testing the Hzrdus Smoke yellow 6.0 vs my TS3 gamer Ventus Blue Velocore 6s, from what i'm seeing on the indoor simulator the HZRDUS launching slightly higher 1-2 degrees with about 600+ rpm's less spin vs my Ventus in my new TSi3 - 9* Head. Hzrdus is giving me more distance than the $350 Fuji, for my swing with the new driver!

This is interesting about the HZRDUS Yellow. I was already considering trying one myself before you mentioned this. I might consider it more seriously now, just out of greater curiosity. What is your driver SS and transition/tempo? Also, what shaft flex in the Yellow worked best for you?
  9. With your low launch, you might be better served with a Blue 6X. Might increase your AoA and drop some spin.

I was thinking the same thing, the Ventus Blue 6X might play nice. The black is the lower launching profile so having a lower launch to begin with might not work so well. The blue is a mid-launch profile so it will kick your initial launch up a little. For the spin you could look at tipping the X as well to make the tip even stiffer which could reduce some spin.

If you like the Ventus Black, I think the 6S is the better option. You can also always tip that too.

If you can work with your local shop or club to demo those, even better. Make sure you are getting the Ventus with "velocore" printed on the shaft as that is the one all the talk is about.

It only matters what it feels like to you and what you want to see in your flight pattern and characteristics.
