  1. As i am a short guy, around 165cm or 5ft 4 tall,

i have been fitted by many brands into a 36" 7 iron (1-inch shorter than usual).

The problem with that is when an iron is chopped down, from the butt or tip:

    1) Swing weight is off 2) Total weight is off

When trying to fix the issue number 1 by adding lead pins or lead powder, the feel of the club changes.

when trying to fix issue number 1 by adding lead tape, the CG/MOI of the club head changes.

When trying to fix issue number 2 by getting a heavier shaft, the stiffness and EI profile might be mismatched.

To achieve an overall club weight of around 440 grams, assuming the standard grip is 50grams, shaft of 110grams, the head needs to be around 280 grams. (7iron)

i weight most of my old AP2/AP3 heads and they came in just shy of 270grams. My CNCPT01's head came in at 255 grams (7iron).

So for the love of the game, at all costs, can titleist custom a set of club heads for me at a D2 swing weight for me to match a set of shafts around 100-115 grams playing weight with a mid balance point? (maybe base it off a modus 3 105s)

To make things easier, i calculated that, based on my 7 iron playing length being 36", i lose approximately 6 swing weight points. to get that back, i need approximately 12 grams added to the head.

Please help! Thank you in advance!!!

My DYI skills end at woodworking and plumbing. So I let Titleist custom build any iron to desired length and swing weight for me at n/c. As delivered to Titleist, the heads are not as uniform as +/- 1 g - casting and forging is more art than science on getting an exact weight. Titleist sorts them by weight and then uses various groups for orders based on the swing weight with shaft, grip, and shaft length. As part of the build process, each club is checked for swing weight, loft, and lie. Weight is added to the head as needed, usually as hot melt.

At the end, the head weight is transparent to me, each club will be D2 and the loft and lie will be as specified. If the combination can't meet the spec, my dealer will let me know what they can do and if something as simple as a different weight grip will get me to the spec.

If you have bought a set off the rack and the store adjusted the length, then, yes, it is complicated. Titleist does this for the same price as a stock rack set, possibly excepting $10 for a different grip and an exotic upcharge shaft. For those of us at the end of the bell curve from whatever a standard setup is, Titleist has you covered.
