Was checking on line for sites for Titleist Thursdays here in SC and noticed that there is now a $100 charge for the fittings??? Was surprised to see that are no longer free as they have been for years. A proper fitting is an important step in getting the correct club and that free service from Titleist has been appreciated over the years. That was a big incentive to get a fitting thru the very qualified Product Specialists. Allen, Rick, Mike?

I noticed that as well Chuck, not sure what to make of it.

I did see that the $100 fee could/would be applied to a purchase, but I'm assuming only at that club.

Correct guys, the policy changed this year. My take on it is there were a lot of host clubs (like my nearest one out here, The Grand at Del Mar) where they provided space and resources but attendees would then go off and order their golf clubs from someone else. I am sure this is designed to encourage people to apply the fee to purchase from the host location. If people are serious about getting new sticks, it works and by charging a fee, they eliminate people that just want to do it for curiosity sake.

Agree. The fees are applied to the purchase of clubs. After talking to the fitter here, understand the reasoning behind it and it does make sense. If I go for a fitting, I am going to purchase a set. Some just show up to hit the new clubs. That is what DEMO days are for, when advertised.
  5. I just had a fitting on 4/22/2021 at Fuzzy Zoeller's course. I ended up upgrading from AP1/716 to the T300's. and I did get the $100 fee deducted from the price.

I checked my the availability of a Titleist Thursday event in the Connecticut area and the closest event was at the Indian Pines Golf Warehouse in Auburn, Al. Will they be having events closer?

The program was heavily modified this year (read Dale’s response). In my area there are many one-off events at local clubs with a Titleist sponsored fitter present. I get newsfeed from several local clubs and find out about them that way. I go to a Premier fitter in my state about 60 miles away. That fitter is also the Titleist sponsored fitter locally. With a sale over $300 the fitting fee is waived.
I don’t know how far you are from Sleepy Hollow off the NY Thruway and the Hudson but scheduling there will be the next best option to Titleist’s Manchester Lane. And the fee with a purchase can be negotiated.

Yeah, from CT Take I-287/ Cross Westchester Expy. and merge into I-87/ NYS Thruway. Get off at the Rte 9/ Tarrytown exit, the last exit before the Tappan Zee Bridge. Make a right onto Route 9 North and go about 8 miles north. The club is on the right.

Does anyone know if I book two appointments at $100 each if I have to make two purchases? Or can I apply the $200 to a set of irons or a driver?

I called the facility hosting the event and they said it was up to Titleist...

If you have two appointments then you would be having two fittings. The $100 for each fitting would apply to each purchase in my opinion, but again it would be up to the Titleist fitter. What are you most interested in? In the past people would show up for two or three fittings and not purchase anything. At least now the fee can be used towards the clubs you are being fitted for.
  11. Hey Team Titleist members. I'm coming to you as a last resort to find an answer. I have called Titleist many times the last few days and emailed customer service several time and can never get anyone. On the phone for 30-45 minutes waiting and never able to speak to anyone until I finally give up. No responses to the emails from 4 and 5 days ago.

Here's my question. I booked a Titleist Thursday fitting but had to cancel it. The $100 fee to book has as of yet not been refunded. I canceled the fitting a week in advance of the date so no problems there. How long will it take to process my refund?

Sorry Mathew. Most of the people on this forum are like you, just personal consumers that love the products. A few Titleist employees are system administrators but not really tied directly to customer service that could run down specifics to your case. If it was me, I think I would just keep calling the customer service phone number until I got connected to someone that could help. Good luck. Hope it turns out well for you.
  13. Dale, I appreciate the message. I guess I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced this.

I have called customer service they say only the fitter can issue the refund. I have contacted the fitter directly through email, text, and phone calls which have all been unanswered. It's just frustrating.

If it was me I would seek out his club affiliation (most have full time jobs at a golf course) and talk to their management or challenge the charge with your credit card company. I always use a card that has a 30-day guarantee so I can dispute any charges for services not rendered. Other than that, not sure what else you could do. Sorry again to hear about this issue and hoping it gets resolved.
