Today at our 2nd Titleist Fitting Day, we revisited the Driver fitting and the good news is the TSi1 is the winner. This time, we did the 12 deg with the 40 gram senior shaft at 45'' long and the results were great. Moving into T-300 Irons, not so great. We put them against a demo set of png 425 irons that I have been trying and the verdict from the fitter was that the 425's were the better fit for me. Although I had high hopes for the T-300's I must applaud the fitter, Arnold Glickman, for being honest and putting what was best for me at the forefront. It shows the type of people that Titleist employs.

The G series has changed from the really wide sole of the G10/G20 era. But still more than the T300’s. Did you try the T400 as well?
I only got my first Titleist clubs with the 712 AP1 with a fitting with both that and the G15. Simply base on appearance. The performance was equal. That was the first time I found that Titleist made more than balls.
Sorry you didn’t get the Titleist irons, but the other guy makes quality clubs, as well.

I did try the T400 and the fitter took it out of my hands after 3 swings. I have an over the top swing and possibly the wider sole helps. I have to admit that I like the look of the 425. It has the least amount of offset and the smallest blade length of any G series iron i've ever seen. Hey, that's why Howard Johnson's made 28 flavors of ice cream. I'm looking forward to many happy drives with my new TSi1 Driver.
