  1. Joey Saewitz's knowledge in the SM9 wedges opened a whole new door to my short game. I chipped and pitched with closed club face and did not use the bounce at all, but Joey helped me to understand how trailing edge and bounce works to properly use a wedge.

He efficiently assessed what I needed for my game, explained in detail yet in a comprehendible way. Also, I appreciated that we tested 4 to 5 different wedge grinds and bounces without looking to prevent bias. I am so glad that I came down to TPI this week to get a wedge fitting with Joey. He is very hospitable and very personal for this experience. He shared his journey on becoming a TPI Senior Fitting Analyst from ground up. Very respectable guy.

Andy Dobson was very accommodating with my dates for fitting reservation.

    Thank you to both!

  5. Back in November 2021, I did a full bag fitting with Joey and I agree that he does a wonderful job. I really appreciated all his work through the whole process.

The woods and hybrids were received in about 3 weeks and hopefully, the irons and wedges will be here soon.

Just like Junsuk, I just did a wedge fitting with Joey on Monday, 4/11. This was my second fitting with Joey, as we did irons last fall. Joey suggested waiting until the SM9s came out to change out the wedges. After the irons arrived, I was having some gapping issues and decided to go see Joey. Very good experience and I ended up getting a great lesson on wedges and how to use the design of the wedge to fit my game. Once I got used to it, I was hitting shots more aggressively that were one-hop and stop.

Joey really knows his stuff and is so patient tyring to find the right grind, gap, etc. Here is what Joey and I dialed in: a 56.10 S Grind that will be bent to 57*, a 52.12 F Grind, a 46.10 F Grind bent to 47*. All are 2* flat. That is way more than just replacing my current wedge set of the rack.

It was my first time being fit for wedges. The value add of a lesson was awesome and I've been to the range twice working with my current wedges on using that trailing edge and not leading with the leading edge.

If you are ever on the fence about going to TPI in Oceanside or Manchester Lane for a fitting, do it. It is without a doubt a great experience. You'll be treated nicely by everyone you talk to, you'll get the best fitting ever.

Joey is a very good person and a great fitter. He has fitted me with irons and wedges over the years. Joey is worth the effort to go to TPI Oceanside.

While in Oceanside you can head 15 minutes down the road the the Scotty Cameron Gallery Store in Encinitas.
