I have not hit the new one yet, I currently play the 2009 prov1x and love it.  What will the new one be like?  I have a very high swing speed and was wondering if the higher spin on the new one will matter?  I guess what i am asking is what given the same swing speed on the 2009 vs the 2011 prov1x will the launch moniters numbers be?

To me, the 2011 ProV1x spins a touch less than 2009 version which was very helpful on full short-iron shots to the greens (no excess "back-up"!).  Off the Driver, at least to me it launched a few degrees higher but had a "flatter" flight which allowed for a little more roll once it hit the ground.  It didn't "balloon".  I got 3-5 yards extra off the driver but not enough to really make a difference with the irons.  I think you will like it!

Thanks for the responses, if there are more I would love to hear them.  I still have 2 dozen more 2009 prov1x's left, but i went and bought 2 dozen 2011 prov1x's.

That would be good if it was around the same in spin, i am looking forward to getting out more.  I dont think I am good enough to really tell, but maybe in the spin dept. I could.  I am going to play this weekend so I will demo them and see if i can tell a difference.

Well I played on sat, shot a 81, even missed 3 putts by a half inch.. Here is what I noticed on the new prov1x, I think it may spin a little more than the 2009. With that said, my game is up and down and some shots I hit good and some bad, so I think I need a few more rounds to really see if I notice anything different.

Is there any more opinions on the new prov1x vs. the 2009 version?

I don't know how much more they will spin, good thing you have 910D,F,H, you can adjust the loft to compensate, and then probably get more distance. You may have to get your irons adjusted. Of course that is if the previous ProV1x produced perfect numbers for you.

    Hi Jason,

I too am a high-ball / high-spin player and found the 2011 PROV1x a better ball for my game ... I had the exact same results as Greg E.

I also found that the new PROV1x flew a little straighter and was a better wind ball than the 2009 or 2010 ball. I think you'll appreciate the features!
