So I've been pondering this question for quite some time now, I live in Wyoming at a fairly high altitude (7220 ft.), so I know the added bonus of hitting the ball further in thinner air (always enjoyable). But I've played a little bit of golf closer to sea level, and we all know the air is thicker so you lose distance.
My question is, is it easier to hit a slice or hook at high altitude than it is at sea level? Or is it the other way around?
My natural ball flight is a 5 yard fade roughly at home, when I played in St. Louis in October I noticed that was all gone and it just seemed like the golf ball flew straighter. I know it could be something in my swing that changed, there are way to many variables in me doing the testing on this. I'm wondering if Titleist has tested this or has any data to back up an answer for me.
Thanks in advance!
