Titleist sent me two sleeves of prototype balls to test "side-by-side". I'm a first-time tester and I'm a bit puzzled exactly how to do that. To me it implies that I should hit one shot of one prototype and then hit the other prototype from the same location and note differences. However, that's not allowed on the course. It seems the only practical way that I can compare the balls is to play one round with one prototype and then another round with the other prototype. However, it seems that too many external variables would be introduced to make an accurate comparison.
Can the experienced testers here please offer some advice on how to best test balls "side-by-side"? Many thanks!
