Lately I feel like I am personally keeping Titleist in business! I can't go a full round without losing a ball. Sunday was a milestone when I lost 4 balls in a matter of 4 holes. Thank god I only played 9 holes that day. I had to order two dozen NXT Tour S's today, but at the rate I'm going, I'm not sure how long those are going to last. I may have to give up golf just for the fact of having to buy golf balls! Does anyone else have these periods where you just can't keep a ball in play? I would just like to finish a round with the same ball.

Hey John, boy this is all too familiar at times with me as well. Even when I am striking the ball well. The one course I spend most my playing time on has a back 9 that just dares you to make it through its narrow tree lined fairway's. So Yes I have walked away 4-5 balls down at times. It's expensive and most of all frustrating.
But somehow I keep coming back

John , I feel for ya. I haven't had that particular issue yet but there is 1 hole at a certain course that has my number. It has a green surrounded by water with no drop zone, you have to hit it on. 3 new ProV's in the drink last time I played there on that hole only, 1 too long 2 too short. No "water balls" in my bag, Thank god they were the only MIA's . Good luck hit um straight. Dave...

    Grindelwald,

maybe you can buy somewhere some preused Titleist balls... Just for the days when your game is not on the top..
  5. We all probably have those rounds from time to time. What I've done to help slow down and give myself time to move on from the last stroke is stop marking my golf balls before the round. Instead, if I have to play a provisional or penalty, I take five seconds to put my mark on the new golf ball. This gives me just enough time to take a deep breath and get into a good thought process before my next stroke.

I feel your pain! My home course has water on 12 holes and I often splash a few. My record so far is 5!

Im laughing with you, not at you! I've always said, golf balls are the only thing in my life that I know I am going to lose. Think about it. You know when you open that sleeve up, and those balls hit the fresh air, they're not going to be around much longer. We mark them, clean them, kiss them, and what do they do in return? They find the first leaf they can find and leave us for the next guy!

Pick a rainy day, put on the rain gear, put away the clubs and go look for the balls you lost on the course and you might even find a few extra ones!!!! Then show them who the boss is!!!!!!!!!

So my next time out was for 9 holes yesterday afternoon and I shot 35. This game is absolutely mind boggling. We're all crazy.

Ever wonder how often the Pro's lose a ball when playing a private round? It always helps when there are thousand's of spectators helping them look for their ball!!!
