Thats a great idea and phrase try selling that to titleist and you''l make some cash

Some hotshot at Titleist killed this idea long ago Geoff... (or they stole it for themselves and T. is bringing them out for Christmas)

While playing the "Test" balls, I couldn't help but think back to the old Tour Balata 100s...probably because of the softer feel off the club face combined with the improved workability(in comparison to the current Pro-V1x). So of course my mind started wandering some between shots thinking about some potential names for the new balls. I think they should go with a name that makes use of the brand that they built with the old Tour Balatas...but also keeps the highly regarded brand of the newer Pro-V1. Maybe something like "Pro-Balata" or "Pro-V1tb"..."Balata-V1"... It'd be difficult to really find the right name that accomplished the above goals(and wasn't so long that it wrapped around the entire ball...which could be a selling point for those players who stripe their balls for alignment...haha), but I feel pretty certain that Titleist pays a good bit of money each year for people who are far better at creating the right names(depending upon the image/brand that they are attempting to build...)...

It wouldn't go for me. Spin is the most important factor. And I suppose that those that want the most distance they can get, don't want a trade off either.

I'm not a long ball hitter, I'm long enough to play the back(7000), but I have much more fun playing the middle(6100).

I'm also not one of those guys that can make a rock back up. So I need all the spin I can get from the ball.

I can always play the appropriate tees to make up for being distance challenged, but I have to change the way I play to make up for lack of spin.

BTW, the current ProV1 is the longest ball I've hit, probably because the extra spin holds the ball in the air a little longer.
